Open Value agreement not showing up in the Microsoft 365 Admin center or Visual Studio Administrator Tool

We have an active OVL agreement purchased through Dell for 5 Visual Studio Professional subscriptions. This agreement is visible in vlcentral, but not in the 365 admin center or Visual Studio Administrator portal.

Our existing license will be in-active on Feb 1, 2026 so I need to get this added to allow assignment of the new subscriptions to the development team.

In vlcentral I am unable to find the Authorization Number and License Agreement Number. Please provide how I can get that information to allow me to add it to the Visual Studio Administrator portal.

To address the issue of your Open Value License (OVL) agreement not showing up in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center or Visual Studio Administrator Tool, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check VL Administrator Role: Ensure that you are a Volume Licensing (VL) Administrator for your organization. If you are not, you may need to request access from an existing VL Administrator.
    2. Add Agreement in Admin Center: Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center with your organization's admin account. Navigate to Billing > Your products > Volume licensing and use the Add Agreement option. You will need the authorization number and license number, which should be provided by your dealer or found in your purchase documentation.
    3. Contact Support: If you cannot find the authorization number and license agreement number in vlcentral, consider contacting Microsoft Volume Licensing support for assistance. They can help you retrieve the necessary information to add your agreement to the Visual Studio Administrator portal.
    4. Check for Visibility Issues: Sometimes, licenses might not be visible due to various reasons such as being ordered separately from their underlying base license or not having the correct permissions. Ensure that you have the correct permissions to view all License IDs under your organization's agreements.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue and ensure that your subscriptions are properly assigned to your development team before the current license becomes inactive.
