Teams will not allow me to add my business account

I have tried every recommended solution but nothing has resolved the issue. Teams automatically loads with me signed into my personal account, but if I try to add an account for my business it always gives an error. When I click on "add another account" it opens another screen which lists my business email address but if I click on that, the link is dead, so I can click on "create or use another account", which always results in an error.

Something went wrong. [4usqa]

Deleting the app does not help. If I sign out, it shows an error, then just signs be back in on my personal account.

So this means I can not send out a teams invitation from my business account. I can send one out from my personal account but it is associated with an email I no longer have, but Microsoft will not let me change it, so when people accept the invitation they get an email, that the account does not exist so they are really confused. Is this non-working, but impossible to update email, part of the problem? I can't solve that email issue, if it is a problem.

Hello,

Can you launch a web browser, and tell me if you can sign into your business account here:

https://myaccount.microsoft.com

If you can, then see if you can sign into Teams here: https://teams.microsoft.com/v2?

================

As for your personal Microsoft account invitation email issue, you need to have a native outlook.com username in order for the calendar/invitation reply to work. Can you tell me, what happened when you tried to change your account's alias, what error did you run into? Or are you stuck at the step where it asks for verification code that you cannot access?

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with Microsoft Teams related to account management and sign-in. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check for Account Conflicts: If your email address is tied to both a work and a personal account, this could cause conflicts. Make sure you are using the correct credentials for your business account. You can try signing in through an incognito or private browser window to avoid cached credentials.
    2. Clear Teams Cache: Sometimes, clearing the Teams cache can resolve sign-in issues. You can do this by:
      • Closing Microsoft Teams.
      • Navigating to %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams and deleting the contents of the folder.
      • Restarting Teams.
    3. Reinstall Teams: If clearing the cache doesn't work, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the Teams application. This can help resolve any corrupted files or settings.
    4. Check Email Settings: Since you mentioned that your personal account is associated with an email you no longer have, it might be worth checking if you can update that email address. You may need to contact Microsoft support for assistance with this.
    5. Contact IT Support: If your business account is managed by an organization, reach out to your IT department. They may need to check the account settings or permissions in the Azure Active Directory.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider creating a support request with Microsoft, providing them with the error code you received for further assistance.
