Issue with Copilot availability in my region

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the unavailability of Copilot in my region. Upon opening the application, I receive the message: 'Copilot isn't available to chat in your region right now.'

As a regular user of Microsoft services, I find this restriction unfair and detrimental to my productivity. I would like to request further information on why this service is restricted in my area and if there is an estimated date for its full activation. I believe all users should have equal access to the AI tools that Microsoft promotes globally.

Looking forward to your response.

    Hi @Javi,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out regarding the availability of Microsoft Copilot. To better assist you or provide more specific details, could you please clarify which country or region you are currently located in?

In the meantime, here is the general information regarding Copilot’s regional availability based on official Microsoft announcements:

    • Phased global rollout: Microsoft is currently rolling out Copilot across various markets globally. Availability is determined by a combination of infrastructure readiness, local service support, and language localization.
    • Technical requirements: In many cases, the "not available" message may be triggered by account settings rather than a permanent restriction. Microsoft recommends verifying that your Microsoft Account region, Windows System region, and IP address (no active VPN) all align with a supported territory.
    • License and account types: Availability can also vary depending on whether you are using a personal Microsoft account, a work/school account (Entra ID), or a specific Microsoft 365 subscription tier.
    • Data processing boundaries: For certain regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA), Microsoft has specific implementation timelines to ensure compliance with local digital service standards and data boundary requirements.

For the most up-to-date list of supported regions, you can visit the official Microsoft 365 International Availability page

Please let me know your region so I can provide more tailored information.

Should you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out.
