If the link you provided to invite users to your Teams group is not working, there could be several reasons for this issue:

    1. Link Expiration: The invitation link may have a limited validity period. Ensure that the link is still active and hasn't been used previously.
    2. Permissions: Check if the users you are inviting have the necessary permissions to join the group. If the group is set to be private, only users who are explicitly added or invited can join.
    3. External Access Settings: If you are trying to invite external users (users from outside your organization), ensure that your organization’s settings allow for external access. This can be configured in the Teams Admin Center under the Guest Access settings.
    4. Correct Link: Make sure that the link you are sharing is the correct one generated for the group. Sometimes, copying the link incorrectly can lead to issues. Verify that you are using the link intended for inviting users to the specific Teams group.
    5. Browser Issues: If users are having trouble opening the link, suggest they try a different browser or clear their browser cache. Sometimes, browser settings or extensions can interfere with link functionality.
    6. Network Restrictions: Ensure that there are no network restrictions or firewalls that might be blocking access to Microsoft Teams or the invitation link.
    7. Account Type: Make sure that the users you are inviting are using the correct account type. If they have both personal and work accounts, they should use the work account to accept the invitation.

If the problem persists after checking these factors, it may be helpful to consult with your IT administrator to ensure that all settings are configured correctly for inviting users to the Teams group. They can also assist in troubleshooting any specific issues related to your organization's Teams setup.

    Dear @monica salas,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, after you created Teams Group, you invited peopled via link but it did not work. Could you please provide more information as:

    • When the link does not work, do you see any error message? If so, could you please share the error message details? It would be very helpful if you could also provide a screenshot of the issue, as this will allow me to better understand the situation and support you more effectively.
    • Does this issue occur for only one specific user, or are all invited users unable to use the link to join the team?
    • Could you please double‑check whether the invited user is signing in with a personal Microsoft account or a work/school (business) account?

The more detail information you provide, the more effectively I can support.

    Looking forward to your update.
