Hello, I need assistance deleting my existing Microsoft 365 Developer Program profile.

My phone number ending in XXXXXX3443 is currently locked to a Developer Program account that was originally created using my former work email at [Moderator note: personal info removed]. The masked email shown on the signup error screen is:

[Moderator note: personal info removed]

I no longer have access to that corporate mailbox or its identity provider, so I cannot sign in to the Developer Program dashboard to delete the profile myself.

Because of this, I cannot join the Developer Program with my personal Microsoft account. I am requesting that the Developer Program team delete the old profile so that my phone number can be released and I can rejoin the program.

I am the owner of the phone number and can verify identity if needed. Please advise on the next steps.

To delete your existing Microsoft 365 Developer Program profile, you need to sign in to the Developer Program dashboard and choose Delete Profile. However, since you no longer have access to your corporate mailbox and cannot sign in, you will need to contact Microsoft support directly for assistance with your request. They can help verify your identity and potentially delete the old profile for you.

Unfortunately, there is no automated process for this situation, and support will be the best route to resolve the issue with your phone number being locked to the old account.

    Hi @John Kim

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

It looks like you’re trying to register for the Microsoft 365 Developer Program using the same phone number that was associated with a previous account.

As forum moderators, we do not have access to the internal systems needed to modify Developer Program profiles or override eligibility checks. If you no longer have access to the old account, or deleting it does not solve the issue, the next step would be to reach out to Microsoft Support through Services Hub.

Please note that Services Hub is intended for paid support tickets and access is subject to certain conditions. You can find more details here Services Hub sign in FAQs | Microsoft Learn.

I hope this information is helpful.
