My Microsoft 365 subscription was canceled, my payment information was updated months ago. But I kept getting these notifications to update the payment subscription. I did that…I just recovered notification that my account was canceled?

    Hey there, Henry Vance

The system keeps your subscription active for (I think) a month before it cancels the subscription due to a payment error. During this time, it keeps sending you emails letting you know your payment details need updating. While the payment details have been updated, the subscription may not have been tied to the new payment info, which made it try an outdated one again. Thus, resulted in a payment error before cancelling.

Please can you sign into your Microsoft account here: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments

Please can you check that your payment details are accurate.

Once they are, please navigate to subscriptions here: https://account.microsoft.com/services

Please check the name of the subscription which should be visible under 'Cancelled subscriptions'

You will then want to navigate to this oink and re-purchase the subscription: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/buy/compare-all-microsoft-365-products

You should be able to re-purchase the subscription and set up family again. I do not think Microsoft support would be able to reactivate a cancelled subscription. I think they will get you to sign up for the subscription again, just as I have done above.

    I hope this helps,
    Nathan

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. To add to the above which is inclined on the business side, kindly take note that the forum does not have access to user accounts to be able to check this billing side of things and you can reach out to the support team at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/ and then click on Microsoft 365 and then click Get Home Support and then type in Billing question and click the blue button that says Sign in to contact Support and login and proceed from there or you can also request a call back by going to https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2168171.

If your Microsoft 365 subscription was canceled despite updating your payment information, it's possible that there was an issue with the payment processing or that the subscription was not reactivated properly. You can check the status of your subscription by visiting your Microsoft account and ensuring that it is active. If it shows as canceled, you may need to reactivate it in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Additionally, if you have a billing account that is blocked, it could prevent your subscription from being active.

    To resolve this, you can:

    1. Verify that your payment information is correct and up to date.
    2. Check your subscription status in your Microsoft account.
    3. If necessary, contact Microsoft Support for assistance with reactivating your subscription.

It's important to act quickly to avoid losing access to your data and services associated with the subscription.
