Outlook as a client is hanging

In addition to Outlook 365, I have an email account through a non-Microsoft server that downloads into Outlook. Everything works fine in Outlook 365, but that is not my primary email account. The problem appears to be on my laptop, as emails from the server continue to download to my phone. On my laptop, however, Outlook hangs (never loads my Profile), or it opens and then hangs (e.g., when I attempt to open an email or a Contact).

    Hi,

When Outlook hangs on Loading Profile or freezes when opening emails or Contacts while the same non‑Microsoft account continues to work on your phone the issue is almost always local to the laptop, not the mail server. The root cause is typically a corrupted Outlook profile or a damaged local IMAP cache, which prevents Outlook from finishing startup or handling mailbox data correctly.

The most reliable and documented fix is to create a new Outlook profile (or rebuild the local cache), which replaces the broken local settings and restores normal operation without affecting mail stored on the server.

Here's a Link that might help.

    I hope this helps!
