To troubleshoot the error you're encountering when trying to access the Nielsen Connect Excel add-in, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Date and Time Settings: Ensure that the date and time on your computer are set correctly, as incorrect settings can cause issues when verifying the add-in's manifest.
    2. Validate the Add-in Manifest: Verify that the manifest for the add-in is valid. You can find guidance on how to validate an Office Add-in's manifest in the Microsoft documentation.
    3. Restart the Add-in: Sometimes simply restarting the add-in can resolve loading issues.
    4. Reinstall the Add-in: If the add-in package was tampered with or if you continue to experience issues, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the add-in. Make sure to download the add-in again from a trusted source.
    5. Check for Office Updates: Ensure that you have the latest updates for Office installed. Sometimes, issues arise from outdated software.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to contact the publisher of the add-in for further assistance.

    Hi @Peter Alexandris,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

According to your concern, I have tried adding the add-in in my Excel worksheet by going to Home > Add-in > type Nielsen Connect and add > the add-in is added properly in my Excel app.

For further assistance, could you provide more detailed information about this situation? We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

    • Are you using Excel desktop app or Excel on the web version?
    • if you are using Excel desktop app, which is your current Excel version/build (you can check via File > Account > About Excel)
    • How the add-in was deployed in the user environment, is it user-installed from Office Store vs admin-deployed (as Integrated Apps in Admin center)?
    • Is the user on VPN, behind a proxy, or on a restricted corporate network?
    • What is the error message exactly? Can you share the full wording of the error message?

Please understand that our initial response may not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Looking forward to hearing from you.
