Hello Microsoft Support,

I am experiencing a persistent sign-in issue with Microsoft Teams for macOS that I have been unable to resolve despite extensive troubleshooting with chat gpt.

Even after uninstalling Microsoft Teams and removing all visible Microsoft credentials, Teams automatically signs me into both my personal account and a blocked corporate account.

The corporate account:

Is no longer active

I do not have access to it

Is not listed under System Settings → Internet Accounts

Still appears automatically in Teams sign-in

This happens before I am able to choose an account manually.

What I Have Tried

I have completed all standard and advanced troubleshooting steps, including:

Fully uninstalling Microsoft Teams

Removing all Teams and Microsoft folders from:

~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft

  `~/Library/Caches`

     `~/Library/Containers`

        `~/Library/Group Containers`

Deleting all Microsoft-related credentials and tokens from **Keychain Access**, including:

           Access tokens (`accessToken`, `consentservice.microsoft.com`)

              MicrosoftOffice live credentials (`MicrosoftOffice15_2_Data:live:cid`)

ADAL / MSAL / OneAuth entries

                 Restarting macOS after each cleanup

Clearing browser cookies and Microsoft login sessions

Confirming that no Work or School account exists in macOS Internet Accounts

Despite all this, Teams continues to automatically surface the blocked work account and cannot be prevented from doing so.

Please help. I have Mac .

It sounds like you're encountering a frustrating issue with Microsoft Teams on macOS where a blocked corporate account continues to auto-sign in despite your efforts to remove it. Here are a few suggestions that might help resolve this issue:

    1. Check for Additional Credentials: Ensure that there are no other Microsoft-related credentials stored in Keychain Access that might be causing Teams to auto-sign in. Sometimes, hidden credentials can persist even after you think you've removed everything.
    2. Registry and Configuration Files: While macOS does not use the Windows registry, ensure that there are no lingering configuration files that might be affecting Teams. You can check for any remaining Microsoft Teams configuration files in the following directories:
      • ~/Library/Preferences/
      • ~/Library/Application Support/
      • ~/Library/Logs/
    3. Reinstall Teams: After clearing all relevant folders and credentials, try reinstalling Microsoft Teams again. Make sure to download the latest version from the official Microsoft website to avoid any issues with outdated software.
    4. Contact IT Support: If this account is associated with an organization, it might be worth reaching out to your IT support team. They may have additional tools or methods to remove the account from the backend or check if there are any policies affecting your sign-in.
    5. Use a Different User Profile: As a temporary workaround, consider creating a new user profile on your macOS and installing Teams there. This might help bypass the auto-sign-in issue until a more permanent solution is found.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to escalate the problem to Microsoft Support for further assistance.
