It said that my router, eero was on pause but yet every other device wAs connected to my Internet. I contacted metronet tech support and said router and modem checked out ok & that I was online. But we couldn't get the laptop to connect. Anything u can suggest would be appreciated. I've restarted my laptop, network adaptor, modem, router but nothing helps.

    Hi!

Please perform the following tests before attempting any troubleshooting on your laptop:

    1. Unplug your modem > Wait 1 minute > Plug it back in > Wait for Wi-Fi to re-establish > Try connecting your laptop to the internet.
    2. Route your mobile internet to your laptop using the Hotspot option, or by connecting your mobile phone to the laptop using a USB cable and enabling the USB Tethering option to transfer internet.
    3. Try connecting to a different internet connection.

If your laptop does not connect to any internet connection, try reinstalling the Wi-Fi driver.

    • Press WINODWS + R > Type "msinfo32" > In System Summary, send me a screenshot.

To troubleshoot your laptop's inability to connect to the internet while other devices are working fine, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check Wi-Fi Settings: Ensure that Wi-Fi is enabled on your laptop. You can do this by checking the Wi-Fi toggle switch (if available) or the settings in the network section of your laptop.
    2. Forget and Reconnect to the Network: Go to your laptop's Wi-Fi settings, find your network (metronet), and choose to forget it. Then, reconnect by entering the password again.
    3. Update Network Drivers: Outdated or corrupted network drivers can cause connectivity issues. Go to Device Manager, find your network adapter under "Network adapters," right-click it, and select "Update driver."
    4. Run Network Troubleshooter: Windows has a built-in network troubleshooter that can help diagnose and fix connectivity issues. You can access it by going to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Internet Connections.
    5. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure your Windows is up to date, as updates can fix bugs and improve connectivity.
    6. Reset Network Settings: If the above steps do not work, you can reset your network settings. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset. This will remove all network adapters and set everything back to default.
    7. Check Router Settings: Since you mentioned that the router was on pause, check the router settings to ensure that your laptop's MAC address is not blocked or restricted.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, consider contacting your laptop manufacturer for further assistance.
