An Azure service that is used to control and help secure email, documents, and sensitive data that are shared outside the company.
To update your payment information and manage administrators for your Azure account, follow these steps:
Updating Payment Information
- Access the Azure Portal: Log in to the Azure portal.
- Change Payment Method: You can change your default payment method to a new credit card and update your credit card details. Ensure you are an account administrator or have the correct permissions if you are under a Microsoft Customer Agreement.
- Supported Payment Methods: Remember that Azure supports credit cards, debit cards, and wire transfers, but not virtual or prepaid cards. If you encounter issues, refer to the troubleshooting steps for declined cards.
Managing Administrators
- Identify Current Administrators: You can check who the current billing administrator is by visiting the Cost Management + Billing page in the Azure portal and selecting the Subscriptions page.
- Assign a New Administrator: To assign a new administrator, an existing billing administrator must assign the Owner role to the new user at the subscription scope. This grants them full access to manage billing and subscriptions.
- Remove Old Administrator: If the previous administrator is no longer with the company, ensure that you have the necessary permissions to remove them from the account.
If you need further assistance or prefer to speak to someone directly, consider contacting Azure support for help with these issues.
