There is a domain abc.com which is currently sending/receiving email through Google (Gmail/Google Workspace). But we want to route the email flow of the same domain through Exchange Online as well. The problem is that the abc.com domain is also running on an on-premises Exchange server. So is there any solution for this? I want to ensure smooth mail flow across all three locations. Is this possible? If so, what steps are required to achieve it? We would like to know if it is possible to ensure smooth and reliable mail flow across all three environments—Google Workspace, Exchange Online, and our on-premises Exchange Request: Is this configuration supported? If yes, what specific steps, configurations, or prerequisites are required to implement this mail-flow setup successfully?

    Hi @Neeraj gautam

Thank you for posting your question in Microsoft Q&A.

Based on my research, this setup is technically possible but mainly used during migration projects, not as a permanent solution. Microsoft officially supports hybrid between on‑premises Exchange and Exchange Online, while Google Workspace can coexist through split or dual delivery. For long‑term stability, it’s best to consolidate onto one primary platform and keep only the supported Microsoft hybrid. Working with a Microsoft or Google partner is strongly recommended to ensure smooth mail flow.

If you are considering configuring mail flow across all three environment for the long term, I recommend heading to the [GitHub Community Forum] for a more in-depth technical discussion or reaching out to individuals with experience and expertise in such customizations. Some features may behave differently or be limited by specific environments and configurations. There are many experienced developers and experts out there who can help troubleshoot issues and guide you through the process.

Apologies for redirecting you to the appropriate development team for support. As community moderators, we do not have access to your specific tenant configuration, and our testing environment is limited, so involving the development team ensures you receive faster and better assistance.

    Appreciate your patience and understanding.

If you have any additional concerns, feel free to comment below. I would be more than happy to assist.
