Azure Startup Credits not available after 2 weeks

Dear Microsoft for Startups Support Team,

I applied for the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub over 3 weeks ago but haven't received any confirmation (Accept or Decline). My dashboard currently only shows a generic banner saying 'Learn more about credit eligibility' (as shown in the attached screenshot) with no option to redeem the $1,000 Azure credits. It seems my application might be stuck in the system; could you please verify the current status for me?"

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon as we are eager to start building on Azure.

Best regards,

    Hi @Khang Hoang

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Based on the current behavior you are observing in the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub portal, this issue typically occurs when the startup application has not yet been fully approved or is stuck in an intermediate verification state. When an application is pending, under review, or blocked in the backend onboarding process, the dashboard does not display the Azure credit redemption option. Instead, it shows a generic banner such as “Learn more about credit eligibility”, and no acceptance or rejection email is sent. This does not necessarily mean your application has been declined; rather, it indicates that the approval or verification process has not been completed successfully, or the account state needs manual review by the Microsoft for Startups support team.

Refer below points to resolve this issue or as a workaround:

Check the Verification Checklist in Founders Hub Sign in to the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub portal and navigate to the Home section. Look for the Verification checklist, which shows the current status of your application and any pending steps. If the checklist is incomplete or shows items still under review, Azure credits will not appear until those steps are finalized.

Confirm eligibility and account prerequisites Ensure that you are signed in using a valid personal Microsoft account (MSA), not a work or school account, and that you are a new Azure customer with no prior Azure subscriptions. Also confirm that your startup profile details (company information, region, and contact email) are complete and accurate, as missing or inconsistent information can block approval.

Raise a support request from within Founders Hub If the application has been pending for several weeks with no confirmation email and no option to redeem credits, submit a support ticket directly from the Founders Hub portal. Click the “?” (Help & Support) icon in the top-right corner and select Submit a Support Ticket. In the ticket, mention that your application appears to be stuck, no accept/decline email has been received, and the dashboard only shows the credit eligibility banner. Attach the screenshot of the issue for reference. This allows the Microsoft for Startups team to review and reset the application state if required.

It seems that your application for the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub may not have been processed yet, which is why you are not seeing the option to redeem your $1,000 Azure credits. Typically, if you have not received confirmation (acceptance or decline) after three weeks, it would be advisable to reach out to the support team for assistance. You can create a support request through the Azure portal, even if your subscription hasn't been created yet, to inquire about the status of your application.

Additionally, ensure that you are using a personal Microsoft Account (MSA) as the startup credit offer is only available for new Azure customers using an MSA. If you have any existing Azure subscriptions, that may also affect your eligibility for the credits.

For further assistance, consider checking the support options available in the Azure portal or the Microsoft for Startups support resources.
