I have had a Teams personal account for years. Recently my company has moved us all to Teams. I was able to successfully add my business email to my account on my Desktop, and my cell phone. It will not let me put it on my laptop. When I try to add the account, it comes back and says I don't have permission. obviously I do since I loaded it on two other devices. I have Windows 11 on my laptop, and have tried different settings, deleted Teams and reinstalled it. It shows up on my Microsoft Teams online account, but will not show up on the app in my laptop. I need it for work since I work from home.

It is all good. I talked to my IT guy, and the was a onmicrosoft.com address for me, that I didn't know about. Got it set up and all is good!

I tried running %appdata%/MIcrosoft/Teams in file explorer, and it tells me the file name is not correct. I rechecked what I had entered and it is the path you gave me. I did check for updates, and I actually uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I am not sure what permissions you mean. What permissions would I need to let Teams run in Windows 11? They are different email accounts for my personal and my work. It is amazing to me that It works on both my desk top, and my cell, but it doesn't work on my laptop. That tells me it isn't my IT but my settings in my laptop, and I don't know which settings would control that.

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with adding your business account to Microsoft Teams on your laptop. Since you mentioned that you can access your business account on other devices, the problem may be related to permissions or account settings specific to your laptop.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that your Microsoft Teams app is up to date. Sometimes, issues can arise from using an outdated version of the app.
    2. Clear Cache: Clearing the Teams cache can help resolve sign-in issues. You can do this by closing Teams, navigating to %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams in File Explorer, and deleting the contents of the folder.
    3. Use Incognito Mode: Try signing in through a web browser in incognito mode to see if you can access your account that way. This can help determine if the issue is with the app itself.
    4. Check Permissions: Make sure that your Windows user account has the necessary permissions to run Microsoft Teams. You might need to run the app as an administrator.
    5. Unlink Accounts: If your email address is tied to both a personal and a work account, consider unlinking them. You can do this by following the guidance on how to change the email address associated with your Microsoft account.
    6. Contact IT Support: If the issue persists, it may be beneficial to contact your company's IT support for further assistance, as they may have specific configurations or permissions set up for your account.

If you continue to face issues, please provide any error messages you receive, as they can help in diagnosing the problem further.
