    Hello @Kamran Ahmad

    Welcome to Q&A forum!

To ensure we provide the most effective troubleshooting steps, could you please confirm the following details:

    1/ Verify your account type

I understand that you've posted this thread in the Educational forum, but I would like to "reconfirm your account type" to ensure we can provide the most appropriate troubleshooting steps. Please let me know which of the following applies to your account:

    • Personal account (e.g., @hotmail.com, @outlook.com)
    • Educational account (e.g., @schoolname.edu)
    • Business account (e.g., @yourcompany.com or @onmicrosoft.com)

2/ Have you tried accessing Excel through the web version?

    https://excel.cloud.microsoft/

3/ Have you checked if the issue is device-specific or account-related?

    How to check:

4/ How long has this issue been occurring? Did it start recently, and were you able to log in successfully at first? Or did it occur the very first time you tried to access Excel with this account?

5/ Are there any other people in your organization experiencing the same issue?

“My questions help identify issues, and while answering, you may discover the root cause of the problem you are facing along the way.”

Looking forward to hearing from you for further assistance!

If you are unable to sign in to Microsoft Excel 365 on your iPad and are encountering an error, here are some detailed troubleshooting steps you can follow:

    1. Verify Your Credentials:
      • Ensure that you are entering the correct user ID and password. The user ID typically looks like someone@example.com or ******@example.onmicrosoft.com.
      • Double-check for any typos or accidental spaces when entering your password.
    2. Reset Your Password:
      • If you suspect that your password might be incorrect, consider resetting it. You can follow the instructions for resetting your password through the Microsoft support site.
    3. Update the App:
      • Make sure that you have the latest version of Microsoft Excel installed on your iPad. To check for updates, open the App Store, go to the Updates tab, and install any available updates for Microsoft Excel.
    4. Reinstall the App:
      • If the problem persists, uninstall the Microsoft Excel app from your iPad and then reinstall it from the App Store. This can help resolve any corrupted files or settings that may be causing the issue.
    5. Check Your Network Connection:
      • Ensure that your iPad is connected to a stable internet connection. Try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data to see if the issue is related to your network.
    6. Clear App Cache:
      • While iOS does not allow you to clear app cache directly, you can try logging out of your account within the app and then logging back in. This may help refresh the app's data.
    7. Check for Service Outages:
      • Sometimes, Microsoft services may experience outages. Check the Microsoft 365 service status page to see if there are any ongoing issues that might affect your ability to sign in.
    8. Contact Microsoft Support:
      • If none of the above steps work, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance. Be sure to provide them with any specific error codes or messages you receive during the sign-in process, as this information can help them diagnose the issue more effectively.

By following these detailed steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the sign-in issue on your iPad.
