I have windows 11. I was trying to plug in an HDMI. The video works, but not the audio. I was wondering if there was a way to fix it.

To fix the issue of audio not coming through your TV while using an HDMI connection on Windows 11, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Playback Devices: Right-click the speaker icon in the system tray and select "Sounds". Go to the "Playback" tab and ensure that your TV is set as the default playback device. If it’s not listed, right-click in the window and make sure "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices" are checked.
    2. Update Audio Drivers: Ensure that your audio drivers are up to date. You can do this by going to "Device Manager", expanding "Sound, video and game controllers", right-clicking your audio device, and selecting "Update driver".
    3. Check HDMI Cable and Ports: Make sure the HDMI cable is securely connected to both your PC and TV. If possible, try using a different HDMI cable or port on your TV to rule out hardware issues.
    4. Adjust TV Settings: Check the audio settings on your TV to ensure that the correct input is selected and that the volume is turned up.
    5. Restart Your Devices: Sometimes, simply restarting your PC and TV can resolve connectivity issues.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to consult additional troubleshooting resources specific to your hardware configuration.

    Hi ,

If it is a laptop or desktop, if possible, could you provide the laptop model or your desktop configuration?

    What's your GPU?

    Thanks
