I cannot get the 25H2 when I run the media creation tool - keeps downloading 24h2

If you are experiencing issues with the Media Creation Tool downloading Windows 11, version 24H2 instead of 25H2, it may be due to the phased rollout of the updates. The 25H2 version is being made available to eligible devices, and it is possible that your device has not yet been selected for the update. To check if the update is available for your device, you can go to Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates. If the update is ready for your device, you should see the option to download and install Windows 11, version 25H2.

Additionally, ensure that you have enabled the setting to get the latest updates as soon as they are available. This setting can help in receiving the updates promptly when they are rolled out to your device.

At this time, the Media Creation Tool may not yet provide the 25H2 image directly, as Microsoft typically staggers release availability across different channels. If you need 25H2 immediately, I recommend checking the Windows Update service on supported devices, or using the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) or Visual Studio Subscriptions portal if your organization has access. These channels often provide the latest ISO images sooner than the public Media Creation Tool.

If your devices are eligible, the update should appear automatically in Windows Update once rollout reaches your region. In the meantime, continuing with 24H2 is supported, and upgrading to 25H2 can be performed later once the ISO is published through the Media Creation Tool.
