I have a new Lenovo laptop with windows 11. The taskbar bounces up and down and it drives me nuts. I want it to stay UP! I also can't see the date unless it is up. I have tried every remedy that I found online and not one of them works. The size of the icons is also vey big and it is annoying. I am about to turn this laptop in and get an apple as it drives me nuts.

To make your taskbar stay visible and prevent it from auto-hiding in Windows 11, you can adjust the settings as follows:

    1. Right-click on the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
    2. In the settings window, look for the option labeled Automatically hide the taskbar. Make sure this option is turned off. This will keep the taskbar visible at all times.
    3. If you want to adjust the size of the taskbar icons, you can also find the option for Taskbar behaviors and look for settings related to icon size.

After making these changes, your taskbar should remain visible, and you should be able to see the date without any issues. If you continue to experience problems, consider checking for updates or troubleshooting your display settings.

If you have ensured the 'Hide the Taskbar' setting is disabled, most likely there is some corruption in Windows 11 causing the problem.

Open the Settings App, go to System - Recovery.

Click the 'Reinstall Now' button in the 'Fix problems with Windows Updates' section, then wait for that process to complete, this process will not affect your files, settings or installed apps.
