Hi,

I need to deactivate an old account, as it is showing that my son has restrictions. I’m unable to log in because the email address linked to that account is no longer active.

Could you please advise how I can have the account removed or updated?

Thank you.

The quickest way to reach Microsoft Support without long delays is through their live chat or call-back option on the official support site. Go to support.microsoft.com/contactus, select the product or service you need help with, and choose Chat with a support agent or Request a call. These options usually connect you faster than email or community forums. If you have a Microsoft account, sign in first so they can verify your details and prioritize your request.

    Hello Kylie,

I realize it's frustrating when you can't access the email linked to your account. Account verification uses that email, and without access, the system can't check your identity.

First, see if you can recover or reactivate the old email through your provider. If that doesn't work, we'll need to verify ownership in a different way. Do you remember your username, phone number, or any recent account activity?
