The Azure Instance Metadata Service (169.254.129.2-4 from IDENTITY_ENDPOINT) fails on request occasionally when we use Azure.Identity Nuget package to grab tokens for Managed Identity. This is the type of error logging we see when this happens:
This will usually correct itself with hard resets or randomly on its own but it will still cause 10-20 minutes of downtime on our platform and needs to be constantly monitored.

- Can you please confirm which Azure service or compute environment is your application running on? (VM, App Service, Azure Functions, AKS, etc.)
- Can you please confirm if VM can establish a connection with the Azure instance metadata service endpoint?
