Problem with Microsoft Mahjongg Daily Games

It's the first of December and Microsoft Mahjongg says it's not connected to the internet, even though it is. I have tried, rebooting my PC, closing and opening the game and I even asked Gemini and went through all the steps. The latest update is 11/13/2025.

What else do I need to do?

Thank you,

Joan Bednarczyk

If Microsoft Mahjongg is indicating that it is not connected to the internet despite your connection being active, here are a few additional troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check Firewall Settings: Ensure that your firewall or antivirus software is not blocking Microsoft Mahjongg from accessing the internet.
    2. Network Troubleshooter: Run the Windows Network Troubleshooter to identify and fix any network-related issues. You can do this by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network troubleshooter.
    3. Reinstall the Game: If the issue persists, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling Microsoft Mahjongg. This can resolve any corrupted files that may be causing the connection issue.
    4. Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date, as updates can sometimes resolve compatibility issues with applications.
    5. Contact Support: If none of the above solutions work, you may want to reach out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.

These steps should help you resolve the connectivity issue with Microsoft Mahjongg.

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Please clarify the following:

Do you have a third-party antivirus installed? If yes, which one?

Do you have any VPN software installed? (Even if it's not running at the moment) If yes, which one?

Also. What is the version and "OS Build" of your Windows 10?

    • Press "Windows + R", type winver, and click OK.

If you prefer, share a screenshot. Use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

Be sure to censor your email address if it appears. The Microsoft Q&A is public.

    I await your reply.
