I need a Data Catalog to make schema using power bi conneted with Data warehouse from Microsoft Dynamics

1-I need to consolidate sales transactions with product names, categories, and sales channels to evaluate the performance of both the website and physical branches. Additionally, I need to integrate purchase data and product inventory to generate a high-level overview of overall performance so I need to know how to get and connect the data from DW

i found another problem when i put ar server name . and database AXDW this error
Details: "Microsoft SQL: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted.)"
how to solve it ?

Thanks for sharing the details. Since you don’t have the AXDW schema internally, the most practical way to connect Power BI with a DirectQuery setup is through the Entity Store in Dynamics AX/D365. The Entity Store exposes business‑ready aggregate measurements (like Sales, Inventory, Purchases) that already consolidate multiple tables, so you don’t need to manually stitch raw tables.

In Power BI Desktop, connect to the AXDW/Entity Store using DirectQuery. You’ll find cubes such as SalesCube, InventoryCube, and PurchaseCube. These cubes contain fact tables (transactions) and dimensions (products, categories, channels) that you can join together. For example:

• SalesCube → sales transactions
• DimProduct / DimProductCategory → product names and categories
• DimSalesChannel → website vs. branch channels
• PurchaseCube / VendTrans → purchase data
• InventoryCube / InventTrans → stock levels

Once connected, you can build relationships in Power BI between these fact tables and shared dimensions, then create measures for KPIs like website vs. branch sales, gross margin (Sales – Purchases), and stock turnover.
