Hello community, I’m experiencing a timezone issue in Microsoft Teams. The “Local time” shown under my profile’s Overview tab does not match the timezone set in Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, or my macOS settings all of which are correct. I’d like to understand where Teams pulls the “Local time” data from so I can resolve this mismatch. Thank you!

    Dear @Mauro Vargas,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. I understand you’re seeing a mismatch between the Local time shown in your Teams profile and the time zone set in Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, and macOS.

To better assistance, could you please confirm following information:

    • Which time zone is set in Outlook on the web?
    • Is your macOS time zone correct in System Settings > Date & Time?

Do Teams calendar and Outlook show the correct time zone?

In the meantime, please try these steps below:

1/ Update and confirm your time zone in Outlook on the web version:

Go to https://outlook.office.com > Settings > View all Outlook settings > General > Language and time > select the correct time zone > Save.

    2/ Restart Teams completely:

Quit Teams (Cmd + Q on macOS) and reopen it. This helps refresh the cached profile data.

Wait a short period for the update to sync. Then check your Teams profile again.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding. If you have any further questions or need further clarification, please feel free to reach out. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
