how do i find chats on teams when i have tried everything

• Have you tried searching by the person’s name, the group name, or keywords from the conversation using the search bar at the top? Or have you been scrolling through the chat list manually? 
• Which platform are you using to find chats? If you’re on the desktop app, could you try signing in to Teams on the web and see if the chat appears there? 
• Was the conversation in a channel within a team or a private chat? And are you still a member of that team?
