Hello André Castonguay
I understand you want to verify your usage for the Azure Translator service.
You can track your usage in two primary ways, depending on whether you mean "pre-paid credits" or "service consumption" (which is how the service is billed). Here are the steps for both.
1. How to Check Service Consumption
This is the best way to see how much of the service you have used. Azure Translator is billed by the number of characters translated, not a pre-defined "credit" count. You can monitor this in real-time using Metrics.
- Sign in to the Azure portal.
- Navigate to your Azure AI Translator resource.
- On the resource's main page, select Metrics from the left-hand menu (under the "Monitoring" section).
- On the Metrics screen:
- Metric Namespace: Should be your Translator resource.
- Metric: Select
CharactersTranslated. This will show you the total number of characters processed.
- Aggregation: Choose "Sum" to see the total count over your selected time range.
- You can adjust the Time range (e.g., "Last 30 days") in the top-right to see your usage so far.
2. How to Check Your Bill (Cost Management)
This method shows you the cost of your consumption and can also be used to track any pre-paid credit balances (like from a free trial or Microsoft Customer Agreement).
- Sign in to the Azure portal.
- Navigate to your Azure AI Translator resource.
- On the resource's main page, select Cost Management from the left-hand menu.
- Select Cost analysis.
- This dashboard will show you the accumulated cost of the service. You can filter by date and service to see exactly how much you are being charged for your Translator usage.
