How to mute Teams Speaker only FOR ME

When i sit beside a colleague and we join the same teams meeting, where no meeting rooms are available.
I can hear them talking in the room and also a second time on the teams meeting.
I want to mute this person so I can not hear them, but everyone else can continue to hear them
I will continue to hear them within the room.

    Regarding your request to mute a specific participant in a Microsoft Teams meeting only on your side, I’d like to clarify that currently, Teams does not offer a built-in feature to mute an individual participant's audio just for yourself. The mute function in Teams only allows you to mute someone for everyone in the meeting (if you have the necessary permissions). 

    Personally, I believe this would be a valuable enhancement. As you could reduce the echo voice from other user who are having meeting in the same area. It definitely great improvement to the current availabilities of Microsoft Team apps. In that case, I sincerely recommend you go to Feedback community hare it through the official Microsoft Feedback Portal. This is the best way The Product Team is in-charge of the feedback site, and they are constantly checking the comments and feedback from our customer. Many features have been developed or improved based on users' comment.      

    As a moderator, I don’t have the ability to change or influence Microsoft’s product design or service limitations directly.   

    How to Submit Your Suggestion to Microsoft:.   

    1.Visit the Microsoft Feedback Portal:   

    -Go to: Microsoft Teams · Community  then Send Feedback and Describe your proposal in detail

    “Allow muting a person only for yourself .”
