Recent Microsoft Defender updates are denying access to my online American Express Account
Since installing the following Microsoft Defender updates I can no longer complete the login process for my online American Express Account:
1. Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.441.64.0) - Current Channel (Broad)
2. Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.441.51.0) - Current Channel (Broad)
3. Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.441.35.0) - Current Channel (Broad)
4. Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.441.25.0) - Current Channel (Broad)
There are several steps in AMEX login process:
1. Login ID and Password
2. Identity Confirmation via a iPhone Notification
3. Identity Confirmation via confirmation of “Yes” on iPhone app
4. Confirmation sent back to my Windows 11 pc to open the AMEX application
5. At this point I received these error messages.
Internal Server Error - Read
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Steps Taken to Troubleshoot:
1. Use 3 different browsers on four different Windows 11 pcs
2. Cleared history of all browsers and pcs
3. Restart router
4. Restart pc's
5. Use neighbor’s wifi/router.
In each and every step I continued to get the same error messages
6. Reviewed all steps with AMEX techs. They suggested using iPhone Edge to successfully access the online version of AMEX on the iPhone. This hints that the issue is with Microsoft …most likely due to the Windows Defender updates. I think this since these were the only change made to all four PCs before the access errors started to show up.
Though far from being an expert, it seems as though one or more of the updates is denying the last step of the identity confirmation, i.e AMEX confirmation sent back to my Windows 11 pc to open the AMEX application on the pcs. (Note: this AMEX step was successful when using Edge on the iPhone.)
Additional info: This issue may be unique to AMEX access which uses an uncommon identity confirmation via there iPhone app. Also, this problem did not exist before the Defender updates referenced above even though the same AMEX process was successful before then.
Finally, I intended to uninstall the suspect Defender updates but could not find any way to do it. Procedures for uninstalling other updates are available but I couldn't find any way to uninstall the security updates.....maybe just too frustrated by now.
