Hello. I'm currently building a system using Azure App Service. Since Java 21 will reach end of support two years after the system is released, I would prefer to develop with Java 25. I see that Java 25 is already available on Azure App Service for Linux OS, but do you know when it will be supported on the Windows version?

    HI @春木 裕和

Native (built-in) Java 25 support is not yet available on Azure App Service for Windows.

    • According to official Microsoft documentation, only Java 8, 11, 17, and 21 are currently supported on Windows

    reference : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service/language-support-policy?tabs=linux

    • The internal product group response you referenced (“This is pending deployment on Windows, but we don’t have a hard ETA for this yet”) is still the most recent update. There have been no public announcements or rollouts for Windows since the November 2025 discussion.

Java 25 became available on Linux App Service in late October 2025, although there were some temporary portal issues in certain regions during the rollout. However, Windows is still behind, and there is no confirmed timeline for its support. Kindly let us know if the above helps or you need further assistance on this issue.
