Hi Marc Driessen,
This often happens after reinstalling Windows, changing hardware, or resetting BitLocker.
If your Microsoft account shows multiple entries for the same laptop, it means the device has generated more than one recovery key over time. The key you need is tied to the Key ID displayed during recovery. If that Key ID is not in your Microsoft account, you’ll need to check other possible storage locations (printouts, USB backup, Azure AD/Intune, or your organization’s admin portal). If you have more than one Microsoft account (personal, work, school), sign into each and check for recovery keys. If this is a work laptop, the recovery key may be stored in Active Directory or Azure AD. If you ever saved the key manually, search for .txt files named “BitLocker Recovery Key” on any external drives or cloud storage you use.
If you find this information useful to some extent, please accept the answer so that your experience with the issue would help contribute to the whole community. Thank you :)
