Under "People" on left pane, there is no "contact list". How to create one?

  1. I have regular meetings with individual people on Teams. But I never have a "Contact List". How to create one? I looked up and the answer is always that I can find this under the "People" icon on the left pane. (Icon with shadows of 2 persons). When I clicked it, nothing happened. How to create this contact list?
  2. How do I invite a person to be on my contact list? How to send them an "invite"? I do not have an organization. These are all individuals.

    The "People" tab is not yet available in Teams Free application (personal account), but should be made available soon. This feature is currently only available for users with business account.

    However, if you wish this feature to be available sooner, then you might join the Teams Insider program. This will enable the People tab.

    When this feature will be made available for you, pressing the People icon will open a list of all your personal contacts, incl. contacts with whom you have only chatted previously on Skype (if you have previously used Skype).

    Hello,

    On the left side of my teams pane there is the “people” icon and within there I can find the contact list, it seems to be synced to my outlook contact list and should be the same for you. You can create contacts and contact lists through outlook, also on the left pane.

    If you can’t find the “people” button it might be hidden in the 3 dots menu.
