After consulting with my team and testing across various Android devices and OS versions, I’ve discovered an additional workaround that may be helpful.
On Android versions below 13, when entering a full email address into the latest version of OneNote, the app does not automatically convert it into a clickable link that opens in Outlook or other email apps.
However, this functionality works as expected on Android 14 and 15.
- Given this, could you please check the Android version of your company device? You can do this by going to: Settings > About phone > Software information. Then look for the Android version listed there.
If your device is running Android 13, you can try manually adding the email link using the format “mailto:full email address”.
You mentioned trying this step earlier, but I’m not sure if the link was entered exactly in this format. I sincerely apologize for the earlier oversight and truly appreciate your patience and collaboration as we work through this.
