Excel android says it has saved, but doesn't save changes

Microsoft in its inimitable overbearing bloatological style does it again. Everything looks so glossy and functional but another key function does not work.

Namely, the save function on Excel android. It acts as if it has saved changes but when I visit the same file on computer, or on the cloud of onedrive, the changes have not been saved.

I've done it saving to a drive on the computer and onto onedrive, with autosave on.

I'm logged into my account.

Any idea what the issue is, it's so tiring?

Hi Lord,

Thank you for posting your problem, I am here to help you today. insufficient storage space, file corruption, lack of save permissions, or software conflicts.

To fix this problem try this steps: Check your Mobile storage.

Check your Excel access permission on your Android device.

Try to save a copy check if still getting the same error.

Reinstall the Excel application on your Android device and check if it can save or still getting the same problem.

Let me know how this goes. Looking forward to helping you out.  If you need more help please feel free to let me know.

Best regards,
Jansher

Same problem. I edit the file and it doesn't save.

Work around is to do the drop down to Save, and toggle the Autosave switch Off and On.

One quirk, MS tried to save the file elsewhere, so there's one on This Device and an older one I don't want somewhere in The Cloud.
