Hello. From the image, those doubled vertical lines happen when two adjacent cells both define their own borders or when formatting is copied from another program (like Word or PDF). Excel then draws overlapping lines.
Was this table pasted or imported from another source, or was it created directly in Excel?
Here’s what to do:
- Select the entire table. Go to the Home tab → Borders dropdown → choose “No Border.” This removes all overlapping border definitions.
- While still selected, reopen the Borders menu → choose “All Borders” or “Outside Borders.” This reapplies a clean, single-line grid.
- If some lines still look thicker, right-click any cell → Format Cells → Border tab → make sure only one border style and weight is selected.
