Summary

One of my application registrations is not appearing in the Azure Portal under "App registrations" > "All applications" list, but the application remains fully functional for OAuth operations (redirects work correctly).

Environment

Issue Description

I have two application registrations in my Azure AD tenant. When viewing the "App registrations" section and selecting "All applications," one specific app is missing from the list. However, this application is clearly still active and functioning because:

  • OAuth flows complete successfully
  • Redirects work as expected
  • The application appears to be processing authentication requests normally

Additional Information

Missing App Details:

  • Application ID: a0a7be11-2643-4208-a991-7dc4a870d410

Requested Assistance

  • Guidance on how to make this application visible in the portal again
  • Steps to audit all application registrations in the tenant, including potentially hidden ones

    Hello @Lucca Toledo,

I understand that you are not able to find the application under the App registration blade even though the application is functioning.

    • It might be that the application has only a Service Principal in the tenant, but the App Registration (Application Object) resides in another tenant.

Azure Portal -> Microsoft Entra ID -> Enterprise applications -> Search for your Application ID.

If you find the app under Enterprise applications then, it the service principal the App registration is not done in your tenant.

You can also make use of PowerShell to confirm:

    # Search for Application object

    Get-MgApplication -Filter "appId eq 'a0a7be11-2643-4208-a991-xxxx'"

    # Search for Service Principal object

    Get-MgServicePrincipal -Filter "appId eq 'a0a7be11-2643-4208-a991-xxxx'"

@Lucca Toledo I hope you are doing well,

I have seen this case before... just curious please "Clear Filters and Cache" and if you don't find it look at Enterprise Application.

Let me know if you can find it.
