The background seems vague but this usually happens when an application is stuck waiting for a response from another program, and the dialogue box you're seeing has lost track of which one it is.

Most of the time, this isn't a deep system error. The quickest fix is usually to just hit 'Switch To'. This should bring the "busy" program to the front. If it's frozen, you can then close it properly. If it looks fine, just clicking around in it can sometimes resolve the hang.

If that doesn't work, the next best step is a quick reboot of your computer. This will clear out any stuck processes in the background that are causing the conflict.

In rare cases where this happens frequently with the same two programs, it might be worth checking for software updates for both, as there could be a minor compatibility issue.

Hope this gets you sorted! If this answer solved the problem for you, please mark it as "Accepted" 🙂
