I noticed that my unused skype credit can be used in Teams via its Skype Dial Pad feature so I wanted to reactivate my unused credits. I clicked reactivate and waited over 15 minutes multiple times on several days but my credit is still not activated.

Silke MW 0 Reputation points2025-12-04T13:28:37.7933333+00:00 I have the same problem, the skype credit reactivation does not work. After pressing "reactivate" the site gives a message saying "we are reactivating your credit", but it doesn't happen. Any solutions appreciated.

2025-09-22T21:41:14.5733333+00:00 OK. This happens because you are in Japan. Due to special Japanese regulations, deactivated Skype credit cannot be reactivated.
Credit, once purchased, is supposed to be used. If not used within the last 180 days, it is lost.

2025-09-22T21:55:23.1433333+00:00 I think I originally started the account when I was in Japan, but the last credit renewal was made in the UK, and now I am residing in the USA. Is it possible to reactivate the credit in that case if so how?

2025-09-22T22:11:31.5466667+00:00 As far as I can see, the credit was purchased in Japanese Yen, and therefore the special Japanese regulations apply.
I'm not aware of any workaround with this situation, but you are always welcome to contact Online Support agent.

The only what I can imagine might help is to change your billing address and currency, but I'm not sure.
