I am using one drive and Outlook on my Mac and they both work fine without the need to login. I do however face a problem from time to time when using Ms Office 365. It keeps asking to reactivate. Can someone please give me some advice?

    Hello Martin Thorrnhill

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand that you’re repeatedly being asked to reactivate Microsoft Office 365 on your Mac, even though OneDrive and Outlook are working as expected.

This issue can occur due to several reasons, such as:

    • Outdated Office installation
    • Account or license issues
    • Keychain or credential conflicts on your Mac

Here are some solutions you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Check for Updates: Open any Office app (e.g., Word) > Go to the menu bar and select Help > Check for Updates > Install any available updates.
    2. Sign Out and Sign Back In: Open any Office app > Go to Word > Sign Out (or your account name) > Close all Office apps, then reopen and sign in with your Office 365 account.
    3. Remove Old Credentials: Open Keychain Access (Applications > Utilities) > Search for “Office” and “ADAL” items > Delete any credentials related to Microsoft Office > Restart your Mac and sign in again.
    4. Verify Your License: Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/ and ensure your subscription is active. Make sure you’re signing in with the correct account associated with your Office 365 license.
    5. If the issue persists, uninstall Office from your Mac. Download and reinstall the latest version from the official Microsoft website.
