    Hi @Arya James,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum, and thank you for reaching out to us.
Based on your description, you're asking whether it's possible to merge a Microsoft business account with a personal account.

According to Microsoft’s guidance, merging these two account types is not supported. Microsoft personal accounts and business (work or school) accounts operate on different identity systems and licensing models, which prevents them from being combined into a single account.

For more details, you can refer to this Microsoft Article here.

However, as a workaround, you can add your personal account alongside your work account in Outlook and use both side by side. This allows you to manage emails, calendars, and other features from both accounts within the same app environment, without needing to merge them.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to let me know on the comment below, I would love to assist you further.

    Hi @Kha-N

Let me clear my question. I have booked azure certification exam using both my private and work email accounts. But I want to keep only my personal account further. So, I would like to keep only one account instead of the 2 accounts for the azure exams. I will be using both the accounts. But for certification exams, I would like to use only my gmail account.

    Hi @Arya James,

Thank you for your response and clarification.

Based on your request, I’ve looked into the available options:

While it’s not possible to fully merge your business and personal accounts into a single Microsoft account that holds all certifications, you can link both accounts under one Microsoft Learn profile. This allows you to view certifications from both accounts in one place.

You can link up to 5 work accounts and 1 personal account by following these steps:

    1. Sign in to your personal Microsoft Learn account.
    2. Go to Settings > Account Management.
    3. Click Add Account and sign in with your business account.

Once linked, certifications earned on either account will appear under your personal Learn profile. This ensures visibility across both accounts.

Please note: Each certification remains tied to the account used to take the exam. Microsoft does not currently support transferring certifications from a business account to a personal account.

For more information, you can check this Microsoft Article here about the linking process.

Additionally, if you’ve booked the same certification exam on both your business and personal accounts, you can cancel the exam scheduled under your business account. Any certifications previously earned on that business account will remain intact and accessible.

Please make sure to cancel or reschedule your exam appointment at least 24 hours before the scheduled time. Otherwise, the exam fee may be forfeited.

If you have any additional questions or you need further clarification, kindly let me know. I would love to assist you further.

    Warm thanks.
