    Hi @Gerry Falkner

Thank you for your questions regarding the Extended Security Updates (ESU) for Exchange Server 2016 and 2019. We understand this is a time-sensitive and important topic, and we're happy to provide clarity based on the latest available information.

As a forum moderator, I'm here to share the insights I can based on what’s available. I hope this helps guide you toward the answers you’re looking for.

Microsoft has announced that Extended Security Updates (ESU) will be available for Exchange Server 2016 and 2019 for a 6-month period, starting August 1, 2025. This ESU program is intended to help organizations maintain critical security updates beyond the end of mainstream support.

We understand your frustration, as many distributors and partners (including yours) don't have this information yet. That's because Microsoft has not officially released pricing or procurement details for the ESU program. This process typically happens closer to the effective date.

For the most accurate pricing and to place an order once details are available, we recommend:

    • Contacting Microsoft directly via your account manager or regional licensing support: Contact Volume Licensing Support
    • Reaching out to authorized Microsoft resellers in your region. If your current distributors don’t have information yet, they may be waiting for Microsoft’s formal release to partners: Find your Microsoft 365 partner or reseller
    • Monitoring Microsoft Learn and Licensing portals for updates as they become available. You can also bookmark the Exchange Server blog for announcements.

We will continue to update the community as more official information becomes available.

Thank you again for your question, and if you have any further questions or need help navigating the next steps, feel free to reach out, we’re here to help.
