The azure PostgreSQL flexible server is stuck in updating state for 6 hours

After attempting to resize our Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server, the resource became stuck in the Updating state
I tried the following recovery steps without success:
- Stop/Restart via CLI: both returned ServerIsNotReady since those operations are only allowed in the Ready state
- Point-in-Time Restore: attempted to restore to a new server from backups, but the deployment also failed to complete
At this point, the original server remains locked in Updating, and the restore path is also blocked. The activity log shows failed update operations, and there’s no way to force-cancel or restart the pending job without backend intervention
