    Dear @Ehren Duplessie (duplessiee1)

I hope you're having a nice day. Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum and for sharing your concerns.

I understand how inconvenient it must be to not have access to Microsoft Office through your school account. Based on the error message you received, this typically means that Microsoft’s system was unable to verify your student status or school domain during the sign-up process. This can happen due to several reasons:

    • The email address used may not match the format expected for student verification (e.g., it must be a valid school-issued email like @school.edu).
    • There may be temporary issues with Microsoft’s verification system or the Azure portal.
    • Your school domain is not recognized by Microsoft as eligible for Education benefits.

Option 1: Verify Your School Email and Link  Please sign in to your school account via the Azure - Sign up, and make sure you're using the correct school-issued email address to complete the setup.  Examples of valid formats:

    • ******@school.edu
    • ******@university.edu
    • ******@student.school.edu

Option 2: Clear Browser Cache and Cookies  Sometimes, browser cache can interfere with the sign-up process. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies or use a different browser or incognito/private mode to avoid conflicts with other accounts.

If the issue persists after you verify your school-issued email address as a valid academic email and try the above steps, please contact your school IT admin about this issue.

Option 3: Contact Your School’s IT Administrator

Your IT admin can confirm your academic email domain, confirm if they have registered their domain with Microsoft or enable Azure services for students, or contact Microsoft Azure on your behalf if needed as IT admins often have direct support channels with Microsoft and can help resolve the issue more efficiently.

If you’re unsure who the IT administrator is within your school account's organization, you can find guidance on locating them here:  How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support
