I am conducting re-assessment of Azure as a part of our vendor monitoring program and the ISO20000 certificate from the Trust center expired. I think you should have a new one issued after 2023-04, can you please share me that one for conducting the assessment? Thanks!

    Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

You’re right: the ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 certificate shown in the Trust Center is dated April 5, 2023, and appears to have expired (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/compliance/offerings/offering-iso-20000-1)

However, that doesn’t mean there’s a new version publicly visible yet. Microsoft hasn’t posted an updated ISO 20000 certificate beyond that date. The guidance from microsoft is explicit: to access up to date audit reports and certificates (including ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018), you need to go through the Service Trust Portal --> https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/compliance/offerings/offering-iso-20000-1

The options you currently have now:

    1. Access the Service Trust Portal (STP): Head over to the STP, sign in with your authorized account, and check the ISO reports section. This is where Microsoft provides the latest audit documents, even if they aren’t updated in the Trust Center dashboard
    2. Download the Certificate: If there’s a refreshed ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 certificate issued post April 2023, it should be available for download there
    3. If you don’t see a newer certificate in the STP, or if access is blocked, open a support request with Microsoft. They can assist with access issues or clarify whether a new certificate exists
