Hello Microsoft Support Team,

I am currently setting up Microsoft 365 email for my domain and have noticed an issue with DNS records. In the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, the system shows that the CNAME record is still “Missing”, even though I have already added the required DNS entries at my domain registrar (GoDaddy).

Here are the details:

Domain registrar: GoDaddy

  • Domain: <domain>.com

CNAME record in question: autodiscover / enterprise registration / enterprise enrollment (please confirm which exact CNAME is not propagating)

  • Time since record was created: 14.08.25 (if i'm not wong)

I have double-checked the DNS settings, and everything seems correct on the registrar’s side. Could you please check on your end why the CNAME record is still showing as Missing and advise me on how to resolve this?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards, Romans Vasilcenko

    Hi @Romans Vasilcenko

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Learn Q&A!

****Please understand that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to cover your organization domain name in the description. Please notice to hide these personal or organization information next time you post error or some information to protect personal data. ****

From your inquiry, I understand that the Microsoft 365 Admin Center is indicating a missing CNAME record, even though you’ve already configured it correctly at your domain registrar.

As forum moderators, we do not have access to internal systems or databases due to privacy constraints. This means we’re unable to directly investigate why the CNAME record might not be recognized. To better assist you, we’d appreciate some more information.
+Even a single character can cause a problem. Could you please double-check that the records you've entered at GoDaddy match the required values in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center exactly? To visually confirm, could you please share a screenshot of your CNAME record setup from your domain registrar, similar to the example below?
User's image Before sharing, kindly ensure that any personal or sensitive information (such as your email address, organization domain name, etc.) is removed to protect your privacy and to ensure your reply is valid.

+Running a "DNS Health Check" within the DNS records section of the Microsoft 365 Admin Center can often provide more specific details about the issue and trigger a new check

As mentioned earlier, due to the limitations of forum moderators, my initial response may not have addressed every aspect of your issue. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and with more details, we’ll continue working together to find the best solution for you.
