Test Call option is missing from Consumer version of Teams

I was shocked to find out I can't make a test call in the consumer version of Teams. Does Microsoft have any advice on any other way to make a test call. Or is some provision for this basic requirement going to be made for consumers?

I am a paid up subscriber to Office 365 Family but this seems to make no difference.

The answer provided wasn’t very helpful. It’s a cumbersome work around for functionality that should be there in the first place (as it is in Zoom), especially when paying over £100 a year for Office 365.

I agree that this should be a basic expectation for all versions, including via a link only when sent by a company.

The "Test call" option is indeed not available in the Teams personal account. However, if you have migrated to Teams from Skype, then one of the migrated contacts should be Skype "Echo/Sound Test Service". This "service contact" can be used to test both video and audio settings on your Teams application.
