Just because it's one of the easier languages to learn, I think Microsoft should bring back the vb.net certification exams.

Microsoft no longer offers VB.NET certification exams because the focus of current learning paths and certifications has shifted toward modern .NET development, cloud technologies, and languages like C#. While VB.NET is still supported, it isn’t a priority area for new certification content.

At this time, there are no announced plans to bring back VB.NET exams. The best option is to follow the existing .NET and programming certifications, which cover skills that apply across multiple .NET languages.

    Hi Hugo,

    I hope you're doing well.

Honestly, Microsoft isn’t bringing back VB.NET certifications because the language is basically in maintenance mode now, and there isn’t enough demand to justify a dedicated exam. I actually looked for C# certifications too, and there aren’t any anymore. Microsoft stopped doing language-specific exams and moved everything to role-based certs (like Azure Developer or Architect), which focus on .NET and cloud skills no matter which language you use.

    Best regards.
