Trying to reconnect Microsoft Loop

I am experiencing repeated issues with Microsoft Loop where a document constantly shows the message: “Trying to reconnect... This document is now in read-only mode to ensure important changes are not lost.”

This happens across both my personal Microsoft account and my school account. I have tried the following steps without success:

  • Different browsers: Edge, Chrome, Opera, incognito mode

Different networks, including mobile hotspot

Clearing cache and cookies, logging out and back in

Using both accounts on multiple devices

The issue persists across all attempts, and the document remains in read-only mode indefinitely with the reconnecting spinner.

I also tested the Loop mobile app, here I can edit.

Is this a known issue or a limitation with Loop access in certain regions/accounts? Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

    Hey there,

Due circumstances it wasn't possible for me to answer, sorry. But unfortunately it hasn't solved the problem yet. I also can only use the web version because I own a Macbook.

Will I still have to wait till an app is available voor Mac?

    Cheers.
