Conversations among multiple participants for collaboration and communication in Teams
Hi @Terrill, Kari,
Good day! Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
I understand your concern regarding the recent update to Microsoft Teams, which added the "@mention" section to the top of your Teams list.
We appreciate that everyone works differently, and we recognize that changes to interface layout can impact your workflow. Currently, there is no option to move the "@mention" section to a different location or hide it entirely from the Teams list. The update was intended to surface direct mentions more visibly, helping users stay on top of important messages.
While customization options for this feature are not yet available, we encourage you to submit feedback directly within Teams through our feedback portal: Microsoft Feedback Hub
Your input really helps shape future updates, and it's reviewed closely by our product team.
In the meantime, we recommend continuing to use the Chat pane as your main notification method. It still reliably reflects @mentions and activity from your teams and can be an effective alternative to relying on the new section.
Please let us know if you need further clarification or assistance. I really appreciate your patience and look forward to assisting you further.
We hope you have a great day!
