    Dear moira walbaum

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Q&A Forum. We are happy to assist you.

I understand that you have been unable to receive emails on both your phone and laptop since Sunday. I can certainly understand how inconvenient and frustrating this can be, especially when it affects multiple devices.

To better understand and investigate your issue, I may need some more detailed information from your side:

    1. Which type of email account are you using (e.g., Outlook.com, Hotmail, Gmail, or an Exchange account from work/school)?
    2. On your laptop, are you accessing your emails through Outlook Classic, the new Outlook, or Outlook on the web via a browser (e.g., Edge, Chrome, Safari)?
    3. On your phone (iOS), are you using the official Outlook for iOS app or the built-in Apple Mail app?
    4. Is the issue happening with a particular sender only, or are you not receiving emails in general from various senders?
    5. Are you getting any specific error messages when trying to sync or refresh your inbox on either device? If so, please provide the exact wording.

Meanwhile, here are some initial workarounds you can try while we await further details:

    1. Check your internet connection on both your phone and laptop to ensure they are stable.
    2. Try restarting both your phone and laptop. A simple restart can often resolve temporary glitches.
    3. Access your email via a web browser on your laptop. If your email account is a web-based service (like Outlook.com), please try logging into Microsoft Outlook (formerly Hotmail): Free email and calendar | Microsoft 365 from a web browser on your laptop or a different computer. This helps confirm if emails are arriving at the server level, indicating an issue with your devices or apps rather than the account itself. (This reference is available only in English. You may use translation tools to review the content.)
    4. Check your Junk Email or Spam folder. Sometimes, legitimate emails can be mistakenly filtered into these folders.
    5. Verify your mailbox storage limit, including OneDrive storage. If your mailbox or linked OneDrive storage is full, new emails might not arrive in your inbox. You can check your storage via this link: OneDrive (This reference is available only in English. You may use translation tools to review the content.)

If possible, please also attach a screenshot of what you see when trying to access your inbox—especially if there’s an error message or unusual prompt. This will help us better understand the issue.

Once we have your answers and any visuals, we’ll be able to provide more targeted troubleshooting steps. Looking forward to your update!

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

To help narrow to down the issue:

    1. Is the issue happening with a particular sender only or are you not receiving emails in general?
    2. Are you using Outlook Classic, the new Outlook, or Outlook on the web?

Can you please check if your Outlook (Attachments) storage is full?

    • If your mailbox is near or over the storage limit, new emails might not arrive in your inbox https://onedrive.live.com/managestorage in the same page, please check your OneDrive storage as it's linked to your Microsoft account and can sometimes affect email services if it's full.

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
