Inquiry About Performance Impact of PBIRS Scale-Out on Scheduled Data Refresh

Hi,

We currently have a large number of Power BI reports published on our on-premises Power BI Report Server. We've observed that many of these reports take a long time to refresh their data during scheduled refreshes triggered from the report server portal. Interestingly, when refreshed manually through Power BI Desktop, the refresh completes much faster.

As a proposed solution, we’re considering scaling out the Power BI Report Server by adding additional nodes to our environment. We understand that this would help with failover support and balancing user request loads via a load balancer, but we would like clarification on one key point:

Will scaling out to multiple PBIRS nodes also improve the performance of scheduled data refreshes?

We appreciate any insights or recommendations you can provide regarding this architecture and its impact on data refresh efficiency.
