Loop Component OneNote

Hi,

We have a question regarding the Loop component.

So I did a few tests and managed to get this to work, but now it is not working - I managed to get the component working for students in Class Notebook OneNote.

This is what I have done:

  1. Create the component in TEAMS
  2. Copy & Paste in the Collaborative Space
  3. Distribute to students
  4. Students can now edit this.

We tried it again and it doesn't seem to work, but it has worked once.

Is this an upcoming feature for the loop component, or could this just be a one off where it works?

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Any questions, let me know.

Kind Regards.

    Hi G_6084,

Greetings. Thank you for posting the thread to our community.

I understand your concern, it seems the Loop component of your Class notebook in Teams is not working properly. For the situation you’ve encountered, I do understand the inconvenience caused and feel very sorry about it.

After my research, the Loop component in OneNote feature was rolled out and generally available to all eligible users on the current channel with a commercial M365 subscription since Sept 6th, 2024. For your reference: Uplevel collaborative notetaking with Loop components in OneNote - Microsoft Community Hub.

Since you mention the issue suddenly happened and I’m afraid and sorry to say I didn’t find related service incident. Due to this situation, I’m afraid this is a temporarily server-side issue needs to be investigated from back end to find the cause. The support team has higher permission to remotely assist you and collect background logs for the root cause. This is a more efficient way in handling this case for you.
